The procedures for selling at Brompton's are simple. Firstly, contact a Brompton's specialist, if a specific specialist has seen the instrument before, feel free to mention this in your email. For details on how to arrange a valuation, please contact us or use our free online valuation service
Brompton's Consignment ProcedureEvery item consigned to Brompton's is closely examined, researched, described and assigned a pre-sale estimate in the catalogue - at no cost to you (other than the pre-agreed commission rate) - although a charge may be made for illustrations. We will send you a property schedule noting the auction estimate, your sale date and suggested reserve price.
Your Reserve PriceThe reserve price is the minimum price for your item. Your item will not be sold below this price. It is confidential and is determined by you in consultation with your specialist. You will receive a contract to sign, setting forth terms and fees for services we can provide.
Delivering your instrumentYou can either bring your property to Brompton's yourself, arrange with your own shipper to deliver it, or ask for Brompton's to organise the shipping. We ask for property to arrive at least three months before the sale. |
