National Children’s Orchestras

The National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain provides young people with a world-class foundation for orchestral performance and musicianship. We bring together hundreds of 7-13 year olds from across the country and offer them a life-changing experience – meeting like-minded people and being guided by top professional musicians. As well as creating a safe, stimulating environment in which to explore and enhance their skills and passions, our friendly residential courses also help to broaden the social development of our young musicians.

Established in 1978, the NCO has gone from strength to strength, building up an international reputation as an outstanding orchestra whose maturity belies the age of its members.

Jessie’s Fund

Jessie’s Fund is a UK charity helping children with additional and complex needs through the use of music. Jessies Fund work with children in hospices, special schools and in other settings nationwide, giving them access to music-making and to music therapy.

Jessie’s Fund was established as a registered charity in April 1995 with the aim of helping seriously ill and disabled children in all areas of the UK through the therapeutic use of music.

Communication is one of the most basic needs of everyone. There are many children who have communication difficulties: some have no means to communicate at all. Music can provide a powerful and profound way in which they can express themselves and connect with the world around them.
