A very fine Violin by George Gemunder, New York 1857
Labelled: George Gemunder, New York 1857
Length of back: 13 15/16ins, 355mm
George Gemunder was a pupil of J.B. Vuillaume and in this quite early violin Vuillaume's influence can clearly be seen, particularly in the rich and transparent varnish.
