Round stick. In all likelihood this bow would have been nickel-mounted..

Stamped: N. Maire

Sold with the insurance valuation of William Moennig & Son Ltd., Philadelphia 2001 and a certificate and letter of Philip Kass, Havertown 2007 stating the bow to be by Nicholas Maire and mentioning the extensive history of the bow.

School of Maline

Weight: 75g. (whalebone lapping)

School of Maline falsely branded Maire. Stick of amourette, very good. Silver-mounted frog with nickel on the slide, good but either remounted in silver or not original to the stick. *
