The certificate is accompanied by a letter from the former owner Ruggiero Ricci dated 1984, he confirms it as the violin played on amongst others, his famous unedited recording of The Complete Bach Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin. BWV 1001-1006 (Unicorn-Kanchana recording) - (see letter)
