Labelled: Andreas Guarnerius fecit Cremonaeino titulo Sanctae Terefiae 1677
Sold with the certificate and letter of W.E.Hill & Sons The certificate states the violin to be by Andrea Guarneri and a later letter re-attributes the violin to Joseph Filius
Length of back: 13 13/16ins, 351mm
The scroll was made by a member of the Guarneri family, probably Joseph Filius Andrea Guarneri.
