About this instrument
A Fine Italian Cello by Michael Platner of Rome, whose original label it bears dated 172(5?).
Sold with the certificate of Beare Violins Ltd.
The back in two pieces of maple with irregular figure and small original wings at the lower flanks; the sides with narrow flames; the scroll plainer; the table in two pieces of spruce of medium grain with: small original wing at the lower bass flank; the varnish of an amber-brown colour.
