Dallaglio, Giuseppe

Active 1795-1840

Distinctive maker of the late Mantuan school, his work shows some lack of control in both outline and arch, and can vary considerably. A distinctive feature is often a deeply (and probably unintentionally) incurved ??~C??T bout, often more noticeable on one side than the other. Generally used a good yellow or orange varnish. Presumed to be a follower of Balestrieri, although there is little consistency between the two makers.
