B. 1695, Cremona, d.1762, Venice

Elder son and pupil of Giuseppe 'filius Andreae', moved to Venice in about 1717. Worked there initially at the shop of the guitar maker Matteo Sellas. His own labelled work began to appear after 1730, and thereafter became an influential figure in the city. He produced a good number of violins and cellos, and at least one viola. Productivity declined after 1750.
