Description

The later table made specifically for the violin by Nicolo Amati, circa 1630. This fine and rare violin, which still, amazingly, retains its original neck and possibly the pegs (sold with the violin) has been in the same English family since it was acquired in Paris, at one of the sales held by the new revolutionary government in 1789, or thereabouts.
